Apple iPhone SE 2020
The Apple iPhone SE (2020) smartphone was launched on 15th April 2020. The phone comes with a 4.7-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 750x1334 pixels at a pixel density of 326 pixels per inch (PPI). The iPhone SE (2020) supports wireless charging, as well as proprietary fast charging.
iPhone SE (2020) based on iOS 13 and packs 64GB of inbuilt storage. The iPhone SE (2020) is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and eSIM cards. The iPhone SE (2020) measures 138.40 x 67.30 x 7.30mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 148.00 grams. It was launched in Black, White, and (Product) RED colors. It features an IP67 rating for dust and water protection.
Connectivity options on the iPhone SE (2020) include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/Yes, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, NFC, Lightning, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India) with active 4G on both SIM cards. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor.
The iPhone SE 2020 comes with a camera stack identical to that of the iPhone 8. You have a 12-megapixel shooter on the back with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS. On the front, a 7-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The rear camera can shoot in 4K and is also capable of shooting 1080p video at 240fps, just like the 11-series. What you don’t get is Night mode, a feature that continues to remain exclusive to the latest iPhones only. Given the limited hardware, let’s see what kind of images you can expect from it.
The compact form-factor of the iPhone SE is absolutely amazing. For people who have small hands, the iPhone SE is an absolute boon. It's easy to use with a single hand. The return of the TouchID is a boon in the times of Coronavirus where a mask is nothing but a hindrance in the opening. It's just as fast and works well even with wet fingers. The volume buttons are on the left of the phone, within easy reach, as is the power button, on the right. The all-glass construction of the phone does make it a tad slippery and placing the phone on a slanted surface will make it slide off, especially if it starts to vibrate. After two years of thick iPhones, it’s nice to finally have a compact model.
The iPhone SE 2020 gets a lot of things right. The performance is on the money and the form-factor is one that’s been loved and lauded by many in the older iPhone era. It also brings all the right mix of features for the price point, such as an HDR display, IP67 rating, and of course, that A13 Bionic SoC. The single-camera may feel insufficient, given that every other smartphone at this price point offers at least two cameras. The camera doesn’t even sport Night Mode, but it does come with portrait mode. Where the iPhone SE excels, however, is the relatively low cost of entry into the Apple ecosystem. As of 2nd June 2020, iPhone SE (2020) price in India starts at Rs. 42,500.
Overall Review
The iPhone SE is a smaller phone with a more powerful processor. This also means it has a smaller battery. With all guns blazing, you will need to charge this phone by evening every day. This is better than what earlier SE used to do, but for users, this means carrying a battery back in your bag.The 4.7-inch form factor means there is less screen to see. Also, the iPhone SE has the iconic iPhone Home Button, which means lips and bezels that eat into the screen space. So if moving from a large screen phone, be sure what you are getting into. But despite being an HD Retina display, the iPhone SE’s screen is crisp and bright. Reading on this phone will not be an issue, nor will watching movies. It is just smaller than what a lot of us might be used to now.
This phone has only one rear camera. So what you are missing out on in comparison with Android phones are many two cameras, one offering zoom, and the other a wider angle. But despite the hype around the triple camera set up, the fact is that most users just use one of the lenses most of the time.

TVS Launches Ethanol-powered Apache RTR 200 Fi E100

TVS has launched an ethanol-powered variant of its Apache RTR 200 at Rs 1.2 lakh. This makes it Rs 9,000 more expensive than the petrol-powered Apache RTR 200 4V ABS that costs Rs 1.11 lakh (both ex-showroom Delhi). According to TVS, this new Apache RTR 200 Fi E100 will run on E100, which is 100 percent ethanol and makes the same power and torque than its petrol-powered Fi counterparts. In addition to being an environment-friendly source of fuel, ethanol is priced significantly lower than petrol, which should make the RTR 200 4V E100 quite affordable to run.
The Apache RTR 200 FI E100 will be initially launched in the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh. The ethanol-powered Apache RTR 200 4V has the same design as the conventional petrol-powered model, with the exception of the green decals on the bodywork.
TVS has modified the Apache RTR 200’s fuel-injected powerplant to run on 100 percent ethanol. For this, they have changed certain elastomer and rubber parts and used a twin spray, twin port electronic fuel injection setup. This ethanol-fueled motor makes 21PS at 8500rpm and 18.1Nm at 7000rpm. Claimed top speed is 129kmph. More significantly, the motor emits 50 percent less benzene and butadiene as well as significantly reduced NOX and CO. If needed, this motor can run on a blend of 80 percent ethanol and 20 percent petrol too.
While the bike has been launched, the availability of ethanol fuel does put a big question on the Apache RTR 200 4V’s immediate viability. The Apache RTR 200 Fi E100 would work well in export markets in South America, especially Brazil where the use of ethanol fuel for transportation is quite high.
